 What does the error 'snmprealwalk(): No response from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX' mean?
Solution The error returned when Ubersmith DE cannot successfully poll your device via SNMP is:

snmprealwalk(): No response from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the IP of your device. While we admit this error message is not the best it could be, it's likely that it will be improved in a future release.

This error typically means that one of a few conditions are occurring:

The appliance is no longer allowed access to the device via SNMP due to a change the access control lists on the device

or

The SNMP communities on the device have changed and have not been updated in Ubersmith's Device Manager

or

The device is no longer responding to SNMP requests in a timely manner due to overloading of its CPU

or

The Ubersmith appliance can no longer reach the device over the network

or

The device is down

Troubleshooting each of these conditions will likely correct the situation and allow you to re-enable polling of your device. If you have continued difficulty even after reviewing these steps, please contact Ubersmith support.
