Account Manager

About the position: The Account Manager is a newly-created position at Ubersmith and represents a unique opportunity to be the first account management professional at the company. Join a small, collegial 2-person sales team (Director of Sales and Director of Solution Architecture) that likes to win. The Account Manager will report to the Director of Sales in Philadelphia, PA, who owns sales for the company.


  • Own account management for Ubersmith, including upgrades and renewals for over 200 customers in 16 countries
  • Develop new sales opportunities based on incoming leads and outbound initiatives to help further accelerate our growth
  • Deepen our customer connection and understanding while feeding feature ideas into our product development team
  • Help the sales team and company meet or exceed its bookings and revenue goals for the company and further accelerate growth
  • Help manage sales pipeline and/or sales operations, including for Ubersmith as appropriate
  • Travel as necessary


  • 3 or more years of experience in sales, customer success or a related function, preferably in B2B software or cloud services
  • Track record of successful work experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • CRM experience, preferably with

UI Engineer

2+ years experience

About the position: The company’s first UI Engineer will help us build and enhance the best billing, device management and support ticketing suite in the market. We are looking for someone to help us improve our user interface for both our customers and their customers. This is a great opportunity to do highly visible work as the first front-end developer on a successful product with enormous potential.

The UI Engineer will ideally be based in New York, NY, and will report to the Director of Engineering at Ubersmith.


  • Own and improve the user interface for Ubersmith’s product suite
  • Advocate for usability throughout the design and development process
  • Write clean and tested code
  • Stay up-to-date with modern UI development including libraries, tools, browser support, and frameworks
  • Minimal travel as necessary


  • 2+ years experience developing web applications
  • AJAX, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Photoshop and/or equivalent image processing software proficiency
  • Object-oriented programming background with a focus on modern front-end technologies
  • Experience in JavaScript web application frameworks, ideally Backbone.js and Angular.js
    • Understanding of CSS preprocessors: Sass or LESS
    • Understanding of revision control systems (Subversion, Git) and deployment processes (Ant)


  • Experience with JavaScript templating: Mustache.js or Handlebars.js
  • Experience with build and process tools: Grunt, Gulp, Node, npm, Bower

It is a great opportunity to work on a popular product that has enormous potential. The Full Stack Developer will ideally be based in New York, NY, and will report to the Director of Engineering at Ubersmith.


  • Work closely within a small, agile team to design, implement and test  features
  • Operate within the coding requirements and guidelines of an agile team
  • Participate in refining and maintaining documentation
  • Keep up to date on product and industry knowledge
  • Minimal travel as necessary


  • 3+ years of programming experience with PHP, especially expert object-oriented experience
  • Proficiency in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack
  • Proficiency in AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP, Zend, CodeIgniter
  • Experience with SOAP-based and RESTful API design, development and integration
