Ubersmith 5.6.3 Released!

It’s a new year, and a new release of Ubersmith! We’ve been hard at work over the cold, harsh winter to bring you the latest and greatest Ubersmith release!

Ubersmith 5.6.3 is a recommended upgrade for all users of Ubersmith. Read on for the complete changelog for the 5.6.3 release.

General

  • General interface enhancements.
  • New confirmation popups / overlays.
  • Improved the performance of the daily invoicing script.
  • Improved the performance of the Ubersmith ‘minidash’.
  • Show service status when providing the list of services on association popups.
  • The system now links directly to services from within search results.
  • The system now redirects users to a service or invoice when only one result is found.
  • Automatically hyperlink URLs and email addresses in metadata and comments.
  • Correct an issue with some graphs using an incorrect font.

Device Manager

  • Added the ability to mass delete IP assignments.
  • Added additional device module event hooks.
  • Added the ability to sort locations on the Device Manager dashboard.
  • The system now offers additional IP assignment suggestions.
  • Better support for entering IPv6 addresses.

Support Manager

  • Custom Data Fields are now available for tickets.
  • Extended the functionality of the ‘author’ field in ticket lists.
  • Added reply/quote/comment links into the ticket activity mouseover popup.
  • Improved the performance of ticket lists.
  • Added a new service module for per-ticket billing.
  • Added a preference to hide the dark purple bar.

API

  • New API scripts to disable and enable monitors.
  • New API script to remove payment methods.
  • New API script to respond / comment to orders
  • Support attachments when adding ticket/order responses/comments via the API.

Reports

  • Improved the logging of events related to authorized contacts.

Order Manager

  • Automatically populate client details in orders place by existing clients.

Client Manager

  • The system will now prompt to deactivate child services when the parent is deactivated.
  • Improved the performance of the Client Manager dashboard.
  • The system now displays a ‘service hierarchy’ on invoices when billing child services.
  • Additional details have been added to PayPal IPN ‘Unrecognized Payment’ emails.
  • Better support for prerequisite handling within order actions.
  • Setup fees now included in order totals.
  • Correct an issue that caused the Euro character to not appear properly in PDF invoices.

Setup & Admin

  • When copying service plans, service modules are now copied as well.
  • Service module configuration has been moved to the service plan details page.
  • Correct issues with the display of some ‘setup & admin’ menu items.
