Kurt Daniel

General Manager

Kurt recently joined Ubersmith and leads the overall company. Previously, he was a member of the senior leadership team at MongoDB (a leading NoSQL database), the COO at Worklight (a leading mobile company acquired by IBM), an Senior Vice President at Parallels (a leading virtualization company) and a Lead Product Manager at Microsoft. He holds degrees from the UVA and Harvard University.

Boo Van Alstyne

VP Product Management and Support

An Ubersmith employee since its inception, Boo was the programmer responsible for the first version of what would become Ubersmith's billing engine. All told, he has 16 years of experience in technical support. Boo prides himself on being able to provide useful answers to all manner of questions in the shortest amount of time, leaving his clients glad they're using Ubersmith.

Dan Brenner

Engineering Lead

Since joining Ubersmith in 2011, Dan has contributed heavily to its codebase and was instrumental in scaling its development team. Earning an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Maryland provided him with a strong background in C, which has proven useful in tackling complex programming challenges. Dan greatly enjoys collaborating with other programmers to build an invaluable product.

Daniel Convissor

Engineering Lead

Daniel joined Ubersmith as an Engineering Lead in 2013 and has more than twenty years of experience. He has been making websites since 1995 and programming in PHP since 1999. Daniel's focus on quality, code safety and unit testing have been welcome contributions to the PEAR Project, PHP Project and WordPress community. Programming makes him happy, and we're glad to make him so.

Brian Parkhill

Sales Manager

Brian has been the sales and customer service manager at Ubersmith for five years. He began his IT career while working as general manager for an established luxury retail brand undergoing rapid growth. Brian directed efforts to develop custom software to manage CRM, billing and inventory processes and in support of a fully automated retail website.

Michael Styne

DevOps Manager

Earning his stripes on a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A at the tender age of 5, computing has been in Mike's blood from the very start. Proudly state educated with a BS in Computer Science, "mstyne" joined Team Ubersmith in 2003. Exploring new technology and simplifying complex tasks are what keep him coming back for more everyday.
